Science QUIZ  on Friday September 28: Section 1 and section 2.  To prepare, please make sure you finish the handouts and the vocabulary sheets for section 1 and 2.

Math We have been learning about rational numbers and solving problems with rational numbers. Homework: Worksheet 2.1 and 1st side of worksheet 2.2 You are free to sign out a math textbook from the classroom at any point.
Science We have been learning about biological diversity and sexual/asexual reproduction.  Next week, we will be looking specifically at inheritance, DNA and the genetic code, and patterns of inheritance. Homework: Worksheets section 1, section 2, and 1st page of section 3; Vocabulary sheet section 1 and 2 should also be completed. Biodiversity performance task should be done and handed in to me .  If you are not done yet, please speak to me and so we can determine how I can support you. This week in Science and Math: Science: We are working on a project on the importance of biodiversity for species survival.  Students are exploring a human activity that is affecting biodiversity in Canada and exploring solutions to slow the decline of biodiversity. Math: 2.1 worksheet needs to be finished and handed in.  We will begin to discuss solving problems with rational numbers next week.
