Today in Math:  We practiced exponent laws by doing a scavenger hunt!  Please continue to do the homework posted in the previous posts. Science:  Please make sure the Canadian contributions to space exploration project is complete and handed in this week.  Remember to read the rubric to understand the expectations. January 15 Science:  We talked about determining a star's composition by looking at spectra of known elements.  We can also determine a star's direction of motion depending on whether it is blue-shifted or red-shifted.  Finally we discussed the Doppler Effect. Today in Math and Science Math:   Today we reviewed and practiced the various Exponent rules.  Handouts:  Assignment: Exponents and Exponent Laws Homework:  Finish assignment at home and hand in tomorrow Science:   Today we continued working on Triangulation lab. Handouts:  two triangulation lab sheets Homework:  Please ensure that the lab is completed and all the lab questions are answered.  This lab is due tomorrow (Tuesday) .  If for any reason you cannot hand it in, please come see me and we can discuss an alternate timeline.

Math:  We learned about exponent laws and practiced simplifying power expressions in groups.
