Math: We have been learning about and practicing multiplying polynomials.  To review or learn more about the concept, you can view the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM08N95IjT8&t=7s Homework:  A practice sheet was handed out in class.  If you missed class, please ask teacher for it. Tomorrow, we will be learning about dividing polynomials. Science: We discussed the history of the theories of matter and reviewed the difference between chemical and physical change.  Tomorrow, we will be learning about the periodic table and its trends.
Math: Today we learned about Multiplying monomials. To view a teaching video on this, please see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_YTXEoKPUY  We will continue to work on multiplication and division of monomials tomorrow. Science: today we worked on a lab about observing chemical changes of various substances. To obtain a copy of the lab, please ask teacher.  We will continue to work on this tomorrow.
Math:  We did a challenge that involved adding polynomials Homework:  Modelling Polynomials worksheet. Science:  We reviewed classification of matter (see handout).  We discussed the difference between chemical and physical properties of matter, as well as the difference between physical and chemical change. Homework:  Lab equipment definitions (see previous posts for link to answers) Lab safety contract - please sign and return to school by Monday Chemical and physical properties and changes worksheet
